Malkin & Ross and its principals have a 25 year
history of running successful legislative campaigns on behalf of
New Yorkers injured by wrongdoers.
In the 1980’s, Arthur Malkin
led the Toxic Victim’s Access to Justice campaign. Working with
DES daughters, asbestos workers, other victims of toxic exposure,
unions and consumer groups, Malkin designed and helped implement a
multifaceted advocacy campaign that included Albany and grassroots
lobbying, media, message development and coalition building. The
result was a law allowing these victims the right to bring their
wrongdoers to justice in a court of law.
Over the past 20 years Malkin
and Ross has replicated this victory on behalf of hemophiliacs who
contracted AIDS from contaminated blood, and needed a date of
discovery law with a revival clause to allow them access to the
courthouse. Similarly, Malkin & Ross helped organize and
successfully advocate on behalf of women injured by silicone
breast implants to win access to the courthouse. In addition,
Malkin & Ross has played a leading role in the campaign to reform
New York’s antiquated wrongful death law, and has opposed
successfully all efforts to weaken the dram shop laws.
